Behold. . .

Today the "Behold" series begins. This will be a riveting and enthralling series introducing you to things that will immediately improve your life and sense of meaning.

For our first installment I introduce you to the world's most uncomfortable shoes. Imagine walking around with bear traps on your feet. Sure, they look hot, but they are so painful that they bring tears to my eyes everytime I have to leave my desk.

It is always the cute ones that hurt you. Which can be applied to both men and shoes. This why I always try to have flip flops with me in the car, desk, wherever, just incase I realize my shoes suck.

I'm not an engineer, but I believe the problem may be that the heels appear to be elevated well above the toes. This would seem to be a painful way to walk, as no one sans shoes would ever choose to distribute their body weight solely on 10% of their feet.

Hope that helps!

Hmmm..I'm curious as to WHY exactly they are that painful. The toes get to pinched perhaps??

Ha! Most of my co-workers wear "flip/flop" style shoes to work and then still run around barefoot. What's up with that??

Red: I never realized the correlation between cute men and cute shoes. You are so right!

Pistols at Dawn: Yes, the positioning is all jacked up, but it makes the leg look SO GOOD!!

Cinnkitty: It's actually the back of the shoe, it rubs up against the back/side of my foot and acts as a cheese grater. Not a good feeling.

I can't wear heels anymore nor can I walk in them when I try. I went to a party last Friday night, wore heels and magically pulled something in one of my knees! Usually the really pretty shoes are the ones that cause the most damage.

The price we pay for beauty: deformed feet.

It's very obvious to me that the heels simply weren't high enough.

That "mid-heel" height can be dangerous... our feet aren't quite sure if they should flip or flop, and our legs can decide to strut or stop.
